A Wavell Heights, Qld, family has received one heck of an early Christmas gift: a Stoney Creek Walk Through Camper valued at $16,990, which they won at Caravanning Queensland’s Pre-Christmas Caravan and Camping Sale.
Kathryn and her family attended the show to look for a fridge for their second-hand camper but ended up coming away with an entirely new upgrade for their adventures.
“It was completely unexpected and I was so surprised when I got the call, I’ve never won anything,” Kathryn said.
“After years of camping in tents, this is a major upgrade from our current camper trailer, which we purchased second-hand earlier this year, and we can’t wait to use it over a long weekend or a school holiday period.”
Caravanning Queensland general manager, Jason Plant, said there’s no greater feeling than handing over such a great prize to a young family who are passionate about caravanning and camping.
“Knowing that Kathryn and her family are avid travellers and always take the opportunity to get away, means that the prize has gone to the right family,” Mr Plant said.
