Can you really make a lasagne in one pan on a cooktop? Absolutely!

Ingredients

  • 6-8 sheets of lasagne
  • 500g of minced beef
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoon of mixed herbs
  • 1 jar of Passata
  • 1 small tub of ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup of mozzarella or Italian blend cheese
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1 cup of water/stock
  • A pinch of salt and pepper

Method

  1. Chop the onion and fry it up in olive oil, adding herbs and garlic, salt and pepper. Then, add the mince and cook it until it has cooked through.
  2. Add the tomato paste and Passata and stir well, followed by the water or stock. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  3. Break the lasagne sheets into pieces and stir them into the mince mixture. Add cheese and mix, then place the ricotta in dollops around the pan.
  4. Put the lid on the pan and gently simmer for about 15 minutes or until the pasta is al dente.
  5. Garnish with parmesan and chopped parsley, and enjoy.
