There’s a brand of caravan on the scene: Gold Class Caravans.
Launched on May 1, Gold Class Caravans was developed by Market Direct Group, the company behind MDC, with eight models in the initial release. Spanning from 16ft to 19ft in both ‘Adventure Class’ and the semi-offload ‘Luxe Class’, it is anticipated that the range will expand to 12 models, with some even larger vans already in development.
Among the range, Gold Class has included models with a 4500kg ATM with more than 2000W of solar charging capability and up to a staggering 2000Ah of lithium battery capacity.
“This technical capability will place Gold Class at the forefront of power autonomy and off-road touring in Australia,” Gold Class Caravans’ Adrian Di Vincenzo said.
“Every Gold Class caravan is designed with best-in-class components as standard – no upgrade packs required. With advanced electrical systems from Enerdrive with full Simarine energy monitoring, wireless auto-levelling air suspension from Airbag Man and Electronic Stability Control from Tuson, you are well equipped wherever you go.”
The Gold Class vans are expected to contain cooking and refrigeration appliances from Thetford and Dometic, and diesel heating from Eberspächer. They’ll also include gear from NCE, Fusion, Cowfish Technologies, Cruisemaster, Gusto Global Industries, Maxtraxx, Narva and Aussie Traveller.
Every van across the range will also be fitted with a slide-out kitchen as standard with a Thetford triple gas burner cooktop and hot/cold water sink.
“The Adventure Class models take off-grid living to the next level with Dometic air conditioning systems that can be run entirely off the Enerdrive 3000W pure sine wave inverter. Coupled with the Eberspächer diesel heater, these vans deliver true climate control without needing mains power or a generator,” Mr Di Vincenzo said. “The Adventure Class models also feature an elite rear storage bar which isn’t just highly functional – it’s a statement. Built tough and looking even tougher, it brings serious attitude to the already robust back end of the offroad range.”
GOLD CLASS CARAVANS INTERIORS
According to Mr Di Vincenzo, the interiors of the Gold Class vans are designed to “reflect the distinct personalities of the Adventure and Luxe Class ranges”, with each tailored to suit a different touring lifestyle.
“Adventure Class models embrace a bold, functional style with matte cabinetry, dark-toned finishes, and rugged materials designed to endure life off the beaten track,” Mr Di Vincenzo said. “Luxe Class models, on the other hand, offer a more refined, opulent feel with soft leatherette seating, dusk bronze fixtures, and warm-toned cabinetry that brings a sense of calm to the road.”
Each van in the range comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty and a lifetime structural warranty on the chassis and drawbar.
